According to a recent study by New York-based Access Markets International (AMI) Partners, the increase in the number of units shipped in the SME segment will be driven by the expansion of new distributed computing workload deployments.
Around 65 per cent of the total shipment will be driven by the SME sector this year, the report pointed out.
The number of server units shipped in the Indian SME market is set to grow by 15 per cent. Over 35 per cent of personal computer-owning Indian SMEs are planning to purchase servers for the first time this year.
