The MSME Testing Centre at Chennai (MSME-TC) has created new testing devices built to international standards, which will facilitate the chemical analysis of water, and help estimate whether bacteria and viruses are present, what sort they are, and to confirm that water is safe for human consumption.
MSME-TC, which comes under the Union ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), provides common testing facilities for raw materials and final products and calibration of measuring instruments.
These devices will enable MSME-TC to test packaged drinking water, packaged natural mineral water, other drinking water, effluent water, processed industrial water and swimming-pool water.
