11.50% Gilt Traded For Rs 145 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market (WDM) of the National Stock Exchange witnessed higher volumes yesterday compared to Tuesday. A total volume of Rs 660.20 crore and 78 trades was transacted in the WDM of which the treasury bills contributed to a volume of Rs 65 crore.

While interest rate in the interbank money market ruled at around six per cent levels, there were repo deals amounting to Rs 115 crore which were transacted at between 9.25-9.80 per cent. The total volume of debentures traded amounted to Rs 5.67 lakh.

Among dated securities, prices went up during the day but closed near low for the day. The 11.50 per cent 2004 gilt saw the maximum number of 21 trades. The security was traded at a weighted yield of 11.58 per cent within a wide-ranging price band. The paper was traded for a total of Rs 145 crore at a high of 99.75 and a low of Rs 99.16. The 13.05 per cent 2007 witnessed six trades at a weighted yield of 11.89 per cent. The paper was traded at a high of 106.50 and a low of 106.05.

 

In the debentures segment, the 16 per cent 2002 bonds of MRPL was traded at a high of Rs 99.55 and a low of Rs 98.55.

Tisco's SPN, maturing in 1999, was traded in the band of Rs 265.50-267.90.
