11.55% Gilt Dealt For Rs 60 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market (WDM) of the National Stock Exchange clocked a trading volume of Rs 219.77 crore. While the repo segment contributed a volume of Rs 10 crore, treasury bills were dealt for Rs 5 crore.

A bulk deal worth Rs 46 crore was done for the 14 per cent IDBI bond. The paper was dealt at the yield of 13.75 per cent and at the price of Rs 100.94. The 11.55 per cent government loan, maturing in 2001, was traded for Rs 60 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.50 per cent. The paper was traded in the band of Rs 100.03 and Rs 100.06.

 

The 12 per cent government loan, maturing in 2008, saw a repo deal being concluded for Rs 10 crore. The paper was traded for a term of 14 days and at the rate of 7.25 per cent. The 13.65 per cent government loan, maturing in 1999, was traded for Rs 15 crore at the weighted average yield of 9.96 per cent, and at the low of Rs 101.95 and high of Rs 101.97.

The 15.50 per cent bonds of ICICI maturing in 2000 was traded for Rs 5 crore at the yield of 12.78 per cent. The 364-day treasury bill, maturing on October 9, 1998, was traded for Rs 5 crore at the yield of 8.75 per cent.
