11.98% 2004 Gilt Dealt At Par

The two new government securities floated on Monday, the 11.98 per cent 2004 and the 12.25 per cent 2008, were traded at par at the wholesale debt market (WDM) of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday.

Trading was subdued but there was an improvement from the Monday's level with total volume amounting to Rs 141.78 crore. Debentures were traded for a volume of Rs 141.78 lakh.

Yesterday, there was a repo trade for 14 days at 9.90 per cent. The 11.98 per cent 2004 was traded at a weighted yield of 11.99 per cent for a volume of Rs 30 crore, while the 12.25 per cent 2008 was dealt at a weighted yield of 12.26 per cent for a volume of Rs 30 crore.

 

The 11.55 per cent 2001 was traded for a volume of Rs 15 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.49 per cent at a low of Rs 100.04 and a high of Rs 100.05. Among the debentures, the 16 per cent MRPL maturing in 2002 were traded at an weighted yield of 15.03 per cent.The commercial papers floated by Sony maturing on October 8 was traded for Rs 5 crore at a weighted yield of 10.75 per cent.
