12.59% Gilt Fetches Rs 120 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) remained lacklustre yesterday. The market recorded trades worth Rs 393.15 crore. Corporate debentures contributed only Rs 30.62 crore to the total volume.

The 12.59 per cent paper maturing in 2004 recorded a turnover of Rs 120 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.50 per cent. The newly-auctioned six-year paper, the 11.83 per cent security maturing in 2003 was traded for Rs 85 crore at an yield of 11.34 per cent. The 12.14 per cent paper maturing in 2000 also met trades worth Rs 50 crore at an yield of 10.32 per cent. However, no trading was reported in the treasury bills segment.

 

In the corporate debentures segment, the zero per cent Reliance Capital maturing in 2002 clocked a turnover of around Rs 30 crore in the wholesale market. The trades were struck at an yield of 14.84 per cent. The zero per cent Reliance petro PPD counter met 443 trades worth Rs 54 lakh, and the 12.50 Reliance H - 2002 for Rs 1.1 lakh.The 16 per cent MRPL 2002 recorded trades worth Rs 3.41 lakh at an yield of 15.86 per cent, while the zero per cent CPN Dhampur Sugar witnessed activities worth Rs 1.01 lakh. at an yield of 15.81 per cent.
