The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked trades worth Rs 284.10 crore yesterday.
Of this, the corporate debentures accounted to trades worth Rs 562.27 lakh. The inter-bank call rates remained in the 5.75-6.25 per cent range for the day.

The 12.59 per cent government loan was traded at a weighted yield of 11.64 per cent and trades worth Rs 35 crore were reported. The paper was traded in the Rs 105-104.03 band for the day.
The 11 per cent paper maturing in 2002, too, was in demand with trades worth Rs 45 crore taking place. Six trades were reported for the paper at a weighted yield of 11.46 per cent and it moved in the Rs 98.35-Rs 98. 20 band.
The 364-days treasury bill maturing on April 10, 1998, was traded for Rs 50 crore at a weighted yield of 8.50 per cent. The 13.85 per cent government loan was traded for Rs 35.6 crore at a weighted yield of 11.38 per cent.
It was a dull trading session, perhaps banks are reserving money for the Rs 5000-crore auction slated on Saturday, said a dealer.
There were 42 trades reported in the government securities, while the corporate segment witnessed 510 trades.
