NSE REPORT
Trading at the wholesale debt segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has picked up yesterday.
The exchange witnessed a total turnover of Rs 964.19 crore as against Mondays Rs 344.90 crore turnover. However, trading at the corporate debentures remained dull. The segment contributed only Rs 6.83 crore to the total traded volume.

The seven-year 12.59 per cent paper maturing in 2004 was actively traded for Rs 143 crore at a weighted yield of 11.67 per cent.
The 12.14 per cent three-year paper, on the other hand, clocked a turnover of Rs 96 crore at an yield of 10.36 per cent.
The newly-auctioned six-year 11.83 per cent gilt maturing in 2003 was traded at an yield of 11.52 per cent for Rs 140 crore.
In the treasury bills segment, the 364-day bill maturing in July 1998 was traded for Rs 165 crore at 7.6 per cent.
Among corporate debentures, the 10.10 per cent GE Capital 2000 contributed Rs 5.36 crore to the total traded volume, while the zero per cent Reliance Petro PPD counter witnessed 562 trades worth Rs 1.26 crore at an yield of 18.30 per cent.
