12.59 Per Cent Gilt Draws Rs 145 Cr

The wholesale debt market in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed trades worth Rs 542.16 crore on Monday. Corporate debentures contributed Rs 52.32 lakh to the total trading volume.

Among the government securities, the 12.59 per cent 2004 was traded for Rs 145 crore at 12.12 per cent weighted yield.

The 12.14 per cent government security maturing in 2000 also recorded trades worth Rs 50 crore at a weighted average yield of 10.87 per cent.

The 6.5 per cent 2000 registered a turnover of Rs 35 crore at an yield of 10.96 per cent, while the 11.64 per cent 2000 traded for Rs 35 lakh at 10.02 per cent yield.

 

In treasury bills, the April 24, 1998, was traded for Rs 100 crore at an yield of 7.99 per cent, while the April 10, 1998, for Rs 25 crore at 7.95 per cent.

The zero per cent Reliance Petro PPD hogged the limelight in the corporate debenture segment. The counter registered 346 trades worth Rs 41.29 lakh at a weighted average yield of 19.01 per cent.

The 16 per cent MRPL 2002 came next with 47 trades and at a volume of Rs 4.06 lakh.

The counter of IDBI Deep Discount 2021 met 26 buyers for Rs 2.29 lakh.
