12.69% Gilt Traded For Rs 40 Crore

The wholesale debt market (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange witnessed an extremely subdued trading session yesterday with only 30 trades contributing to a volume of Rs 189.56 crore. The treasury bill segment saw only one trade worth Rs five crore in the 364 day t-bill maturing on July 18, 1998

The day saw a repo trade worth Rs 25 crore for a term of nine days at the rate of 8.7 per cent.

The commercial paper of Reliance Industries was traded for Rs five crore at the yield of 11.05 per cent.

The bonds of ICICI contributed to a traded volume of Rs 35.04 crore while the bonds of MTNL were traded for Rs 10 crore.

 

The zero per cent bond of ICICI saw two trade Rs 20 crore at the yield of 12.61 per cent, and at the price of Rs 90.62 and Rs 90.64.

The 12.69 per cent government loan, maturing in 2002, saw five trades and a volume of Rs 40 crore. The paper was traded at the weighted average yield of 11.66 per cent at the low of Rs 102.90 and high of Rs 103.29.

The 11.25 per cent government loan, maturing in 2005, was traded for Rs 20 crore at the weighted average yield 12 per cent.
