14-Day T-Bill Dealt For Rs 27 Crore

Active trading was witnessed at the wholesale debt market (WDM) of the National Stock Exchange yesterday with 105 trades and a volume of Rs 746.85 crore.

The treasury bill segment saw a volume of Rs 77 crore while a repo deal for 14 days was done for Rs 100 crore.

The 11.50 per cent government loan, maturing in 2004, saw 20 trades and a volume of Rs 105 crore. The paper was traded at the weighted average yield of 11.67 per cent at the low of Rs 99.05 and high of Rs 99.25.

Three repo deals worth Rs 90 crore was done for the 11.75 per cent government loan maturing in 2006 at the rate of 8 per cent. The same paper was traded for Rs 20 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.88 per cent. It was traded for a low of Rs 99.16, touched a high of 99.35 and closed at Rs 99.30.

 

The certificate of deposit of IDBI was traded for Rs three crore at the yield of 10 per cent.

The 14 days treasury bills, maturing on June 13, was traded for Rs 27 crore at the weighted average yield of 6.04 per cent for a low of Rs 99.88 and high of Rs 99.91.

The 13.75 per cent government loan, maturing in 2001, was traded for Rs 40 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.36 per cent.
