45% Leaf Tea Unsold

About 45 per cent of over 2.2 lakh kgs of leaf tea offered remained unsold in the Coimbatore auction yesterday, following the declining trend in prices and lesser export demand. Prices continued to dip by Rs four to Rs six for high grown and medium orthodox leaf and also for brokens and fannings, while CTC leaf was lower by Rs six to Rs seven, depending upon the quality, traders said.
