Tata Consultancy Services, Larsen & Toubro, KPMG Consultants, PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Soros Associates of USA are among the 13 in the race to be consultants for the privatisation of the Gangavaram port on the East Coast. The port is located 15 kms south of the Visakhapatnam port, almost in the backyard of the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
Sources in the Government said today that after evaluation, half a dozen of the bidders will be shortlisted and asked to make presentations and submit final bids. This will be done within the next one week.
