Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland has announced the launch of two interactive Internet initiatives - one for exports and the other for domestic parts operations.
This will mark the entry of the Hinduja group flagship into business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) areas.
The e-commerce site for exports has been designed to enable customers view a range of product models with all the technical specifications and, subsequently, place an order for a cofiguration of their choice with the nearest dealer.

Post-purchase, customers can come up with a performance feedback for necessary action by the dealer whose warranty claims are posted on Ashok Leyland for validation and reimbursement.
The parts website is expected to improve the customer service level in Ashok Leyland's parts operations involving over 40,000 parts.
The website will provide complete information on Leyparts - the genuine Ashok Leyland parts range - and all-India sales, service and parts network simplified with a search engine.
A customer who logs in can search and identify the required part by the part number or part description.
A separate search engine has been installed by the company to enable the customer to identify the closest parts dealer thus allowing for the placement of an order. The exports e-commerce site can be accessed through a link from the company's official website www.ashokleyland.com. Currently running with the universal resource locator http://207.104.0.233, the site will soon have a separate name.
The Leyparts site can be accessed at www.leyparts.com.
