Himachal Pradesh-based Baddi University has collaborated with IBM to offer joint BTech Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) program with industry vertical & technology specialisations through their Solan campus. The joint initiative is aimed to make students from the university employment ready when they graduate.
As part of the partnership, IBM will design and deliver the new set of technology & domain courses and train the faculty on the same. The university will engage with students and deliver these courses as well as provide the marketing & infrastructure support to run these programmes. IBM will provide a web based courseware, webinars and subject matter expert to visit to the campus.
Lovi Raj Gupta, vice chancellor of Baddi University said, "The new paradigm in the education domain is the 'out of the box thinking'. However, nobody is defining the box. With this initiative, Baddi University, along with IBM, have defined the box and are bringing together what is best for the students and the industry."
