Karnataka Chief Minister J H Patel yesterday told the legislative council that Bangalore international airport was very much on the cards and would come up in Devanahalli. He said 4,276 acre had been notified and had been sent to the Centre for approval. He said though so much land was not needed for an international airport project, the land had been notified keeping in view the future expansion plans of city. (PTI)
Patel said the government would not be unfair to farmers by acquiring their land. He made it clear that the present land had only been notified and not acquired.
