Q) What is the significance of small scale sector in today's globalisation era and how they survive the cut throat competition?

Its for sure that the arrival of MNCs has created immense competition but it has also opened up new vistas for the small scale sector. One the large industries cannot be everywhere two they have to source spares and components also. This gives small scale sector an important opportunity specially in the fields like automobiles, pharmaceuticals and cycles. The Japanese model of sub-contracting to SSE's is one great example. But for all that to happen Small Scale Sector has to first be modernised.
