The Central Electricity Authority has asked independent power producers (IPPs) to furnish details about financial closure of projects, which have already received techno-economic clearance (TEC).
The directive follows the low level of financial closure by independent power producers, which have got the techno-economic clearance from the Central Electricity Authority.
Though about 30 IPP projects totalling around 16,500 mw capacity have got techno-economic clearance from the Central Electricity Authority, most of these projects have not yet completed the financial closure, an official release said here yesterday.
Expressing concern about this, the Central Electricity Authority said it would like to acquaint itself with the difficulties being faced by the independent power producers for taking an overview in the matter, the release said.
