Chamber Criticises Ap Power Tariff Hike

Federation of AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) said domestic consumers will be the most affected by the step hike in power tariff. Teh Chamber has regretted lack of efforts to reduce inefficiencies and improve the working of APTransco. FAPCCI president, J S Rao said while APTransco has requested for increase from Rs 3.40 to Rs 3.90 for LT industrial consumers, the Regulatory Commission has permitted Rs 4.30 per unit. This high tariff would adversely affect Small Scale industrial consumers would adversely affect the industry which is just recovering from the recession apart from acting as disincentive to the new industrial units coming to the state.
