Dunlop India tyre factory chairman M R Chhabria yesterday refused to comment on the West Bengal governments decision to temporarily take over the companys closed unit at Sahaganj. I do not want to comment on the move, Chhabria said when asked what his response will be if the government takes over the tyre company, employing 4,300 workers, until a new promoter is found. Indian promoters and foreign collaborators hold 39.8 per cent of the equity in the company, while mutual funds and financial institutions hold 34.3 per cent, with the rest being held by public.
