Intel Asia is close to picking up stake in the city-based Network Solutions, one of the upcoming companies in network consulting and software services.
This step by Intel marks the second such investment in India by the global computer chip giant after it picked up stake in Rediff on The Net.
Sources in Intel said the deal is expected to be closed in a couple of weeks as ICICI Venture Capital is also in the fray to invest in Network Solutions.

The investment is expected to be in the range of Rs 8 crore. "We are in the final process of finishing the evaluation and we expect to sew up the deal in a couple of weeks," the source said.
