Dassault Falcon, a part of French aircraft manufacturer of military, regional and business jets Dassault Aviation, is anticipating a warm reception in India for its new large-cabin, long-haul (9,630 kilometre) Falcon 5X business jet, which will cost close to $45 million.
Initial Indian orders for the large-body twin-jet are expected this year. The 5X is expected to make its first flight in the first quarter of next year with certification planned at the end of 2016, Dassault Falcon said in a release issued from Saint-Cloud, France.
“We see improving signs of the Indian market which has been slow recently. India has a real need for expanding business aviation, and we remain bullish about future market prospects,” said Gilles Gautier, vice-president (Falcon sales – Europe, West Asia and Africa).
