Doordarshan is exploring alliances with media companies for putting together a KU-band direct-to-home (DTH) television platform. Amongst the companies which have evinced interest are Star TV and Zee Telefilms.
According to cable and satellite TV industry sources, the topic of an alliance with DD for a DTH platform was dwelt upon during separate discussions Star TV and Zee recently had with Prasar Bharati chief executive RR Shah.
