Dr Pepper/Seven Up Inc, a division of Cadbury Schweppes Plc, said Tuesday it would eliminate 110 jobs, mostly at its Dallas, Texas, headquarters, as a result of a voluntary business process review that has been under way since mid-year. Separately, the company said it would restructure its marketing management team. Changes include naming John Clarke chief advertising officer.

The company said in a statement that the jobs to be eliminated are not related to sales and marketing. The changes result from introducing systems applications products and other information and technology systems designed to increase productivity and improve customer service. The two operating units of DPSU - the Dr Pepper Co, under President and Chief Operating Officer Jack Kilduff, and Cadbury Beverages/Seven Up, under Chief Operating Officer Mike McGrath will remain largely unchanged. Restructuring will begin immediately and be ongoing throughout 1998. Elimination of the 110 positions will be completed by the end of 1998.
