Brazilian commercial jet aircraft manufacturer, Embraer, today signed an MoU with Air Works Private Limited, an independent aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company, to provide full maintenance support to its Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 customers in India.

While the mid-size jet Legacy 500 would enter into service in the first half of 2014, the Legacy 540 mid-light jet’s certification is expected a year later.

“This is in addition to the support we currently provide for owners and operators of the Phenom 100, Phenom 300 and the line maintenance support for the Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 in India,” said Vivek N Gour, managing director and chief executive officer of Air Works.
