Foreign investors apply brakes, inflows dry up

Investors added $3.3 billion to US exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest in emerging market stocks and bonds in May, 39 per cent less than the previous month, as flows to South Korea diminished and money moved out of Mexico, reported Bloomberg.

Flows into India, too, were impacted. ETF flows into Indian stocks and bonds stood at $630 million, 17 per cent less compared with April. Following is a table detailing net inflows and outflows for emerging market ETFs:
