While an easy trend continued in groundnut oil at an improved level, most other edible oils ruled easy-to-subdued at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market here yesterday.
Groundnut oil eased further by Rs 5 at Rs 565 per 10 kg on sluggish consumer demand.
Castor oil Commercial and BSS qualities declined by Rs 9 each to Rs 535 and Rs 547 per 10 kg, respectively on reduced industrial offtake against limited supplies.

Linseed oil and copra oil white declined by Rs 5 each to Rs 445 and Rs 475 per 10 kg, respectively. Sesame oil firmed up by Rs 5 to Rs 455 per 10 kg.
Soya oil refined eased by Re 1 to Rs 379 per 10 kg on dull industrial demand. Imported palmolein eased further by Rs 2 at Rs 375 per 10 kg on ample supplies against dull demand.
December contract opened Rs 18 lower at Rs 1,910 a quintal and ruled steady at the same level. It closed at Rs 1898 a quintal on speculative movements.
Castorseeds Madras and Maharashtra qualities declined by Rs 43 each to Rs 2,472 and Rs 2,466 a quintal.
Sugar: A calm-to-easy condition prevailed in prices here yesterday. Both grades ruled mostly steady.
Sugar S-30 firmed up marginally to Rs 1,400/1,440 a quintal from the previous level of Rs 1,400/1,425.
Similarly, M-30 eased to Rs 1,435/1,515 a quintal against its previous level of Rs 1440/1489. Meanwhile, sugar for the check-post deliveries were quoted lower at Rs 1,383/1,395 a quintal for S-30 and Rs 1407/1415 a quintal for M-30.
Non-ferrous metals: Activity was calm at the local non-ferrous metals market yesterday. Both the sections of metals held steady on narrow movements. The undertone remained weak.
In scraps section, all the metals held steady and were nominally quoted as under :copper heavy scraps Rs 106.50, copper utensils Rs 93.75, brass utensils Rs 86.75, brass sheetcuttings Rs 88.75 and aluminium utensils Rs 63.50 a kg, respectively.
In virgin metals, all other metals ruled overall steady and were nominally quoted as under : copper heavy scraps Rs 119.50, aluminium ingots Rs 86.00, zinc slabs Rs 79.50, lead ingots Rs 45.50, tin slabs Rs 372 and nickel cathodes Rs 248 a kg, respectively.
Bullion : A firm-to-upward trend was noticed in both the precious metals at the local bullion market yesterday.
Both precious metals ruled firm. Silver .999 and .916 improved further by Rs 145 and Rs 120 to Rs 7,625 and Rs 7,500 a kg, respectively.
Standard gold and 22 carat firmed up further by Rs 70 and Rs 65 to Rs 4,255 and Rs 3,935 per 10 grams on better overseas advices.
Gold biscuits advanced further by Rs 1,000 at Rs 50,300 per piece of gold biscuit on improved consumer offtake.
