Novartis India is considering divesting partially or wholly one of its agrocheicals manufacturing units, the ocmpany said in a notice to the stock exchanges. The site is in GIDC, Panoli, Gujarat. When contacted, a company spokesperson said the unit earlier belonged to Sandoz India and had become part of Novartis India after Sandoz and Ciba were merged. Ciba's unit is located in Goa and is the one which is company wishes to retain. LE>
