Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) and HEC Paris School of Management have announced their partnership with Altran, a global high tech engineering consulting firm, to launch 'HEC Paris-IIMB-ALTRAN Professional Monitoring Scheme'.

The 'Professional Mentoring Scheme' offers graduates of the two business schools the opportunity to work closely with managers of the high tech sector, especially those with an engineering background and/or interest for the management of innovation.

It will focus on students participating in the IIMB-HEC Paris student exchange program, and includes live projects and site visits. It also includes a matching programme where students and young graduates will be matched with senior managers to advise them on career prospects.

Altran, global player in innovation and high-tech engineering consulting, provides services to key players in the aerospace, automotive, energy, railways, finance, healthcare and telecom sectors. Based in 20 countries, Altran has operational offices in Bangalore, with two main delivery centres in Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Systems. It plans to expand its Indian operations in 2013 both through organic growth and acquisitions.

In 2005, the IIM-B and HEC Paris set up a strategic partnership. In 2013, IIMB and HEC Paris look forward to strengthening the cooperation by connecting Bangalore and Paris with international companies especially in the high-tech sector.
