The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-L), in association with the Tennessee State University and the South Carolina State University, is holding an international conference on "Agribusiness and Food Industry in Developing Countries: Opportunities and Challenges" from August 10-12, 2007, at its campus. |
The conference is being organised as part of a project funded by the United States Department of Agriculture under International Science Education programme. |
The seminar will debate and discuss the emerging opportunities as well as the challenges for the agribusiness and food sectors in the post-liberalised era of global economic order. |
"A major challenge for India in the changing national and global agribusiness environment is the introduction of relevant and appropriate policy reforms," said Prof Sushil Kumar, conference coordinator. |
Nearly 300 delegates are likely to attend the convention. |
