Indian Hotels Net Profit At Rs 49 Crore

Net profit at Tata group hotel major, Indian Hotels Company, rose 4.9 per cent to Rs 49.02 crore in the first half of the current year from Rs 46.70 crore in the previous year. The company's net profit for the second quarter of the current year was Rs 24.96 crore as against Rs 24.02 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The company's total income for the first six months of 1998-99 was Rs 274.32 crore against Rs 266.43 crore in the same period last year. Total income for the second quarter of the current year was Rs 137.58 crore as against Rs 131.98 crore reported by the company in the corresponding period last year.

 

The company's non operating income for the first six months of the current year was Rs 16.53 crore (Rs 17.34 crore). The non-operating profit for the quarter ended September 30 1998 was Rs 11.32 crore (Rs 8.67 crore).

The total operating income of the company rose to Rs 257.79 crore from Rs 249.09 crore in the first half of the current year. The company's expenditure for the first six months of the current year was Rs 192.28 crore (Rs 183.04 crore).
