One heard a simple truth when the new bond fund was launched by Jardine Fleming India AMC. The issue would look at making investments in debt instruments including triple A rated corporate bonds and other investment-grade rated papers. Fears were raised about how profitable this scheme would be for investors and whether the fund will be able to alter strategies keeping in mind recent downgrading by credit rating agencies of similar instruments. Jardine Fleming AMC chief U R Bhat merely said,We will follow market developments.We know of a lowering of triple AAA ratings even before it is published. Jardine would get a strong rating for market intelligence.
