This Republic Day was special for Baba Kalyani, the 68-year-old chairman of Pune-based Bharat Forge. An alumnus of Sanik School, Belgaum, he had come to New Delhi to witness the parade at Rajpath, where the latest in military hardware is showcased along with the cultural diversity of the country every year. It was the presence of the 155 mm 52-calibre advance towed artillery gun system (ATAGS) that made the parade special for Kalyani.
