UIH will now have an equal managing control in Vijay TV, a Tamil-language satellite channel rechristened after Mallya. Moreover, it will also invest in generation of Indian-language programming, especially South Indian languages.
Some of this software will be used by Vijay TV, while the rest is likely to be marketed to other satellite channels.
