Mrtpc Pulls Up Modi Luft

Monopolies & Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) has issued `cease and desist' order against domestic airliner Modi Luft for allegedly pactising unfair trade by not providing air travel service on a confirmed ticket. In the ex-parte orderr, MRTPC member Sradar Ali said, " In the premises of this case, "I further hold that such unfair trader practices are prejudicial to public interest, interest of consumers, and the informant particularly," he said. Based on a complaint filed by B B L Madhukar, the Director General of Investigation and Registriation (DGI&R) was directed to investigate the matter and submit its preliminary investigation report.
