The department of telecommunications (DoT) is formulating a detailed migration package for telecom operators in line with the new revenue-sharing plan approved by the Cabinet. The package, which would enunciate the exact terms of migration to the new regime, was likely to be offered to private telecom operators next week after their meeting with DoT officials, senior officials said.
An interactive meeting between department officials and the operators will be called early next week to thrash out the contentious issues before the final package is offered, according to a DoT official.
