Pfizer Q3 Not Profit Up 8% To Rs 9.87 Crore

Net profit at pharma multinational Pfizer India was up 8 per cent in the third quarter ended August, 1999 to Rs 9.87 crore. Net sales were up 25.8 per cent to Rs 76.97 crore in the same period. However, net sales of the wholly-owned subsidiary Duchem Laboratories fell 37 per cent to Rs 21.49 crore as a result of which overall consolidated sales growth was 3 per cent. Other income of Rs 13.19 crore included service income of Rs 11.48 crore. Total expenditure during the quarter was up 24.5 per cent to Rs 72.69 crore.
