The jetty was earlier scheduled to be commissioned in June. The delay has been due to the fact that the firefighting equipment and navigational aids could not be installed in time.
Besides, the electrification too could not be completed by June, source said.
The fire-fighting equipment is in place, and electrification is under way. The navigational aids could be installed earlier because of bad weather.
The customs notification declaring the jetty as a dock area is expected soon.
