The Kerala government has sought Rs 447 crore assistance from the Centre to implement various information technology (IT) projects.

The state government is seeking Rs 15 crore for IT-enabled habitats, Rs 100 core each to establish Grameen data processing centres and a megafab facility, Rs 30 crore for hi-tech habitats at Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi and Rs 120 crore to develop software cities.
