BJP Uttar Pradesh unit president Rajnath Singh yesterday said he did not consider Kalyan Singh's removal as part of a corrective process.
Rajnath Singh and Govindacharya, the party's general secretary for UP, were fielding queries from the press here yesterday.
On whether the news flash on Tuesday that he was resigning the party post was true, Rajnath Singh said he had offered to resign when the results had been announced. However, later he added he would remain the state's party president.

On whether there would be further action in the direction of corrective process as envisaged by the Central leadership of the party, Singh said the move regarding Kalyan Singh was what he had told the Central leadership and he did not consider it to be part of any corrective process. And in that respect he did not agree with the Central leadership.
Govindacharya, did not say that more personnel would be affected, but described the corrective process as encompassing party-government relations rather than necessarily changes in personnel.
The impression the two gave was that no more changes were in the offing. n as CM
