Buoyed by the 31.42 per cent jump in income from EPC contracts, and coupled with the 79.44 per cent rise in other income, utility major BSES Ltd has reported a 10.21 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 87.61 crore during the first quarter ended June 1999 compared to Rs 78.66 crore in the same quarter of last year.
During the quarter under review, the company's turnover rose marginally by 1.48 per cent to Rs 470.08 crore up from the previous Rs 463.22 crore.
The company's income from EPC, computer and international divisions contributed Rs 193.32 crore up by 31.42 per cent during the previous Rs 147 .09 crore, the other income also increased by 79.44 per cent to Rs 26.36 crore from the previous Rs 14.
