N N Khanna, special secretary in the commerce ministry, yesterday said India's negotiations at the Seattle round of World Trade Organisation would be corporate-driven and would genuinely reflect the needs of industry.

At a seminar on General Agreement on Trade in Services organised by Ficci here, Khanna told industry to come out with policy papers that were knowledge-based so as to give inputs to the negotiations. Khanna said there would be representations from all apex organisations at the meeting. He, however, warned the industry that "if proper homework is not done and the arguments are not knowledge-based or professionally put across, industry would feel that their viewpoints
