If you are flying to the capital city from Mumbai or Bangalore, Sahara will give you a one night stay at Le Merediens Club President absolutely free.
That is, of course, if you fly the J class (the Royal Class) with Sahara airlines on your way in and out of New Delhi .
The airline will take care of your transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. It will also feed you breakfast at the President Club.
The round trip fare from Bombay is Rs 13,292, while that from Bangalore is Rs 19,252. This offer is valid till September 30, 1997.
The offer is attractive, definitely, and terrific if you are in Delhi for only a day, since your accommodation for that day is taken care of.
If you are staying longer, it isn't of much consequence except for the experience of staying in one of the better hotels in the capital. What we are amused by, though, is the fact that, if you are flying Royal class, you will most probably be staying in the better hotels, anyway.
Alternatively, there is also the special excursion fare for the Y class (Economy class). This scheme is valid only if you return to Mumbai or Bangalore within a month of your reaching New Delhi.
Take a look at the fares for the Economy class. Rs 7,350 for a trip from Mumbai to New Delhi and back and Rs 12,510 for a round trip from Bangalore to Delhi. The savings here can amount to upto Rs 6,000.
