The economic value added of Satyam Computer Services more than doubled to Rs 83.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2000. Its EVA was at Rs 40.15 crore for the year ended March 31, 1999.
However, during the current year, the company's EVA is not strictly comparable with the previous year because the current year's performance includes the financials of three other entities, Satyam Enterprise Solutions, Satyam Renaissance Consulting and Satyam Spark Solutions.
Meanwhile, Satyam Computer's brand value was pegged at Rs 1,516.72 crore or $347.79 million on the basis of the average weighted profits of the past 3 years.
North America continues to be the mainstay of business for the company accounting for 76.6 per cent of the total offshore business. Japan stands seconds at 8.7 per cent, while Europe is at 6.9 per cent and the rest of world to 7.8 per cent.
During the year the company recorded a sales turnover of Rs 677.1 crore as against Rs 378.1 crore in the previous year.
The company's net profit rose to Rs 134.86 crore from Rs 72.8 crore in the previous year.
If one compares the revenue and net profit to the merged-entity figures for the previous year, then Satyam Computer has witnessed a growth of 64.1 per cent in topline and 68.72 per cent in the bottomline.
