As Table 1 shows, the size of the Indian financial sector's non-performing asset (NPA) problem has continued to increase in absolute terms. Over 2015, however, aggregate assets in the corporate debt restructuring (CDR) programmes actually declined, as Table 2 shows - some of these will have moved into the NPA ledger.
