The United States (US) is Pakistan's largest bilateral trading partner. In FY15 (July 2014-June 2015), Pakistan's exports to all countries were estimated at $24.59 billion and imports at $41.43 billion.

In FY15, the US accounted for approximately 16 per cent of Pakistan's exports and $1.20 billion of its imports. Trade between the countries exceeded $5.1 billion in FY15.

During this period, $18.72 billion was remitted to Pakistan by workers abroad, 14.4 per cent from the US. It is estimated that at least 500,000 members of the Pakistani diaspora reside in the US.

The US is also one of the top sources of foreign direct investment to Pakistan, with $209 million in FY15.
