The government plans to conduct a review of the `Focus Latin America' (Focus Lac) programme next month to reverse the trend of extremely low exports to the South American region, commerce secretary P P Prabhu said yesterday.

"India's share in Latin America's trade with the world at US $ 750 million is minimal and we will review the Focus Lac programme in December," Prabhu said at a seminar on investment and trade opportunities in the Latin America, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The government had received feedback from exporters on additional incentives required, and also the need to bear the costs for translating documents in Spanish and Portuguese languages, he said.
