According to state agriculture minister Karan Singh Dalal, the equity participation of the corporation in the new projects will be worth Rs 8.87 crore.
The state government has designated HAIC as the nodal agency for promoting food-processing and agro-based industries in the state.
Dalal said 10 new food-processing and agro-based units have already started production. Two units are under trial. Seven other projects are expected to start production soon.
Among the units which have started production are a barley unit in Rewari, one milk processing plant each in Gurgaon and Kurukshetra, one oil extraction plant each in Rohtak and Ambala, two 100 per cent export-oriented floriculture projects in Gurgaon, one 100 per cent export-oriented egg powder project in Ambala, one frozen fruit and vegetable project in Sonepat and one pet food project in Gurgaon.
