Total Trades Touch Rs 489.04 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange witnessed active trading by recording 80 trades and clocking a volume of Rs 489.04 crore.

Due to easy liquidity in the system and the call money market ruling easy, the treasury bill segment saw only two trades accounting for a volume of Rs 17 crore.

The certificate of deposits segment also saw two trades worth Rs 15 crore.

Both the trades were concluded for CDs of Societe Generale at the rate of 8.3 per cent.

The 12 per cent government loan, maturing in 2008, saw 11 trades worth Rs 65 crore. The gilt was traded at the weighted average yield of 11.86 per cent, and a low of Rs 100.68 and high of Rs 100.77.

 

The 11.75 per cent government loan, maturing in 2006, saw 13 trades, and was traded for Rs 73 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.66 per cent. The paper was traded in the range of Rs 100.34 and Rs 100.45 during the day.

The 12.59 per cent gilt, maturing in 2004, was traded for Rs 50 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.34 per cent. The paper was traded in the band of Rs 105.25 and Rs 105.35 for the day.
