Traded Volume At Rs 123.41 Crore

The Wholesale Debt Market segment at the National Stock Exchange saw another dull trading day with only 32 trades being reported, accounting to a volume of Rs 123.41 crore.

There were no trades concluded in the treasury bill segment and the price of the securities were steady. Traders said the low trading was on account of Rs 5500-crore government securities auction held yesterday. The three- and 12-year paper was fully subscribed while the five-year paper devolved by Rs 900 crore. The 13.70 per cent government loan maturing on 1999 was traded for Rs 25 crore at the weighted average yield of 10.09 per cent.

 

The 11.75 per cent government loan maturing on 2001 was traded for Rs 20 crore at the 11.41 per cent. The paper was traded for a high of Rs 101.82 and closed at the low of Rs 100.75.

The 16.25 per cent non SLR bonds of IFCI maturing on 2001 was traded for Rs 10 crore at the yield of 12.58 per cent and priced at Rs 108.90. The zero per cent bonds of ICICI maturing on 1999 was traded for Rs 10 crore at the yield of 12.57 per cent and at the price of Rs 90.67.

The 13.55 per cent government loan maturing on 2001 was traded for Rs 10 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.46 per cent.
